JBS OSC-V Series variable-speed screw air compressors automatically adjust motor speed to match changing compressed-air demand. With motor options from 3 to 132 kW, the range is designed to provide stable and reliable compressed air for workshops, automotive businesses, manufacturing plants and industrial facilities with extended operating periods.
Variable-Speed Drive Technology
The integrated Variable-Speed Drive continuously monitors air demand and adjusts motor speed accordingly. When consumption falls, the compressor slows down; when demand increases, the system raises its output.
In facilities with fluctuating air consumption, this operating method can reduce unnecessary full-speed and unloaded running. Actual energy savings depend on the load profile, operating pressure, compressor sizing, air leaks and daily operating hours. A fixed-speed compressor may still be suitable where air demand remains continuously stable.
Stable Compressed Air for Continuous Operation
Rotary screw technology is designed to provide a more consistent airflow during long operating periods. Variable-speed control also supports stable system pressure and controlled motor starting, helping reduce sudden electrical and mechanical loads.
The OSC-V Series combines a premium-efficiency motor, rotary screw air end, Poly‑V belt drive, compact oil separator and spin-on filters. The Maestro controller allows operators to monitor operating conditions, warnings and maintenance requirements.
OSC V-55 Technical Specifications
The OSC V-55 delivers 55 kW motor power, 9.5 m³/min airflow and 7–13 bar working pressure. Its listed sound level is 76 dB(A), while the machine weighs 940 kg. Motor power, airflow and operating pressure vary across the other OSC-V models.
Applications
OSC-V variable-speed rotary screw compressors can be used in automotive, metalworking, textile, plastics, glass, furniture, packaging, machinery manufacturing and general industrial applications. They are particularly relevant where several pneumatic machines operate and air demand changes throughout the day.
Selecting the Correct Model
Selection should consider total air consumption, simultaneously operated equipment, required pressure, duty cycle, pressure losses, air leakage and expected future demand. Oversized and undersized compressors can both increase operating costs.
